Modified Citrus Pectin's Many Health Benefits
Modified Citrus Pectin Treats Cancer
Can modified citrus pectin (MCP) treat cancer? Its possible however more studies need to be done (Cancer Research UK). Researchers from 2007 studied MCP in cancer patients and found modified citrus pectin to improve the quality of life in cancer patients and in particular slowed the excessive growth of PSA caused by prostate cancer (Cancer Research UK). Studies have further shown to have an enormous impact in declining certain stages of metastasis and a lesser impact on other stages (Glinsky and Raz).
Although it appears MCP does not directly get rid of cancer, it does have an impact on developed cancer. Modified citrus pectin stops the spread of cancer to other organs and improves the symptoms associated with the disease. Even though significant studies do not show getting rid of cancer completely, studies show it is possible.
Over 300,000 men die each year from the disease and a recent long-term study (12/2021) found 15 grams of MCP each day stabilizes PSA and stops the spread, without toxicity and side effects in patients with biochemically relapsed prostate cancer (Eliaz, “New Groundbreaking Clinical Results on Modified Citrus Pectin in Prostate Cancer”).
MCP combined with other treatments definitely will help kill cancer and stunt the growth to other parts of the body. Modified citrus pectin is all natural so there is no risk in taking it with other treatments, which does exist with other drugs.
According to Dr Ruscio, citrus pectin has five very important benefits for your body. Besides fighting cancer here are the other 4 benefits for your body.
Removes Toxic Metals from Your Body - Heavy metals like copper, lead, mercury, and iron need to be flushed out of your body with MCP (Rodriguez). Too much lead has caused deaths in children along with other serious impairments (Rodriguez). Too much mercury can cause heart disease, infertility, even brain damage in adults (Rodriguez). MCP boosts your immune system along with removing harmful toxic metals without removing any of your vital minerals and vitamins (Eliaz, "Pectasol-C Modified Citrus Pectin and the Toxins It Removes with Dr. Isaac Eliaz").
Slows Heart Disease - Galectin-3 is a molecule in our bodies that plays a major role in heart failure (De Berg). The drug companies have yet to figure out a solution however MCP is scientifically proven to tackle the molecule, prevent heart disease, and actually reverse it without the side effects that conventional drugs usually bring (De Berg). Further studies have proven to restore cardiac function after being damaged, decrease injured areas of the heart which may lead to myocardial infarction, and repairs the collagen system of the heart (G -R Xu et al).
Combats Diarrhea in IBS - A clinical human study with people with IBS proved effective with restoring the stomach back to normal, relieving the symptoms of diarrhea, and reducing inflammation (L. Xu).
Brain Function - MCP works so well in restoring brain function, helping with nerve and neurological pain, that it's being looked at to help with Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's (Nutraceutical Business Review).
Regular pectin is different than modified citrus pectin. The best way to explain it can be found inside the Ultimate Guide to Modified Citrus Pectin.
